Hear What Exhibitors Say |
 |
"We manufacture a new type of medical dressing that uses collagen. We are attending the fair for the first time, and our goal is to promote the brand and product awareness. We believe that the fair can help us put out the message that Malaysia has the capability to produce this type of product - our dressings use collagen derived from cattle, rather than horses, which is much more expensive, or pigs, which people are wary of for religious reasons. We have come to this fair because Hong Kong is a gateway not only to Southeast Asia, but also the Chinese mainland - it provides a one-stop sourcing centre for buyers. We've had a good response regarding our product - we've seen buyers from the Chinese mainland, Japan and Thailand, among others. We met with a United Kingdom company that is keen to represent us in that market and we will definitely follow up with that. We've also had media interest, with interviews conducted by television and newspaper journalists. The event is well organised - staff have constantly been in touch with our team in the run up to the show."
Noor Mohamed B. Mohamed Haniba, Chief Operation Officer, Bio-Collagen Technologies SDN. BHD., Malaysia
"Eufoton manufactures lasers for surgical and dermatological applications. Our products are made in Italy and exported around the world. This is not just our first time to exhibit in Hong Kong, but first show in Asia. The demand for this type of product is increasing in this part of the world, which is why we decided to attend. The Chinese mainland in particular is becoming a big market for us, we already have distributors there and want to find more in the region. We see opportunities to find partners from Indonesia, Thailand, Korea and Australia in particular. We are happy with the set up of the show - everybody has been very helpful."
Dr Paolo Cossich, Export Manager, Eufoton S.R.L., Italy
"We specialise in weighing and sensing technology, and at this fair we are showing our medical and healthcare equipment, ranging from bathroom scales and baby scales to products for hospital use. We joined last year's inaugural fair and this time we have returned with a booth twice as big. This is the only event of its type in Hong Kong; the territory itself is an important market for medical devices, with various stakeholders such as the universities and R&D companies working together, while HKTDC puts a lot of emphasis on helping with the marketing of the industry, and this fair is testament to that. Fook Tin is here to promote its company and its products - it's about making connections. We find that the quality of the visitors to this show is very high - they are focused and know what they are looking for. Last year we made some big business contacts here. I feel that it has become more internationalised this year, with more visitors from the United States and Europe alongside those from Southeast Asia."
Dr John Y. Chai, Managing Director, Fook Tin Technologies Limited, Hong Kong

Hear What Buyers Say |
 |
"Megro is a medical wholesaler based in Germany. This is my first visit to the fair and I am looking to source medical disposables. I decided to make the trip here because the fair is close to all the Chinese producers - a few of them exhibit in Europe, but not so many, and here you can meet them. I have made some good business contacts here and I will follow up with them. I am satisfied with my visit - the organisation is very good."
Helmut Krebber, Purchasing Manager, Megro GmbH & Co. KG, Germany
"This is my second visit to this fair - I like to come to Hong Kong to do business because people understand English and through them one can do business with the Chinese mainland. Here there is a big variety of suppliers. I have come to look for medical disposables - the health category in India is growing, with more and more hospitals opening. I did business here last year and will likely do so this year, too. The facilities here are good and the fair is well organised by HKTDC."
P. S. Sidhu, Director (Tech), Beejay Realm Inc., India
